Transport Canada, in conjunction with community groups, transit service providers, and the Canadian Bus Association has released a new resource booklet, Easing The Way - The Traveller’s Guide to Accessiblty City-to-City Bus Service in Canada. This code of practice expresses the intercity bus service operators’ voluntary commitment to provide services to persons with disabilities in a safe and dignified manner, and the Easing the Way brochure provides specific guidelines about what people with disabilities can expect when traveling by intercity bus.
