GDUC Introduces Care Officer ProgramNovember, 2007 - Guide Dog Users of Canada is putting into place a national network of Care Officers who will offer a sympathetic ear to any guide dog handler wishing to talk about issues such as retirement, illness, death, and any other emotional topics we face as handlers. We currently have two care officers in place:
Any member wishing to be considered for a position as a care officer should contact Melanie Marsden, Vice-President. We are particularly in need of a bilingual (or French-speaking) Care Officer.
