The July 2009 edition of GDUC’s quarterly newsletter is now available. This newsletter contains a lot of very important information about the upcoming conference, including information on potential funding that is available to assist with the additional incidental expenses of traveling to the conference with an attendant, election nominations, resolutions, etc.

Key Dates
The 10th annual conference and meeting of Guide Dog Users of Canada will take place on Friday, September 25, 2009 thru Sunday, September 27, 2009 in Ottawa. Registration is now open, there is no registration fee for participants, and lunch on Saturday, September 26 will be provided (thanks to the generous contribution of CNIB). Register online now and don’t forget to book your hotel room prior to August 20, 2009!
Funding may be available for up to four attendants to assist conference participants. Requests for funding to assist with the cost of bringing an attendant with you to the conference must be submitted prior to August 14, 2009 – see the newsletter for details.
Resolutions to be considered at the conference must be submitted to elections2009@gduc.ca no later than August 24, 2009 – see below for details.
Nominations for the board positions must be submitted to elections2009@gduc.ca no later than August 24, 2009 – see the newsletter for details, including descriptions of each of the positions that are open for nomination and election.
