The GDUC wellness fund provides financial assistance to Canadian guide dog handlers who are facing large, extraordinary veterinary bills due to an illness or accident involving their guide dog.

While some guide dog schools are large enough to provide this assistance directly, most are not. For a guide dog handler, being without a guide can be both emotionally traumatizing and functionally debilitating, as they are a vital part of how we travel.

If you want to make a real difference in the lives of guide dog handlers (and of guide dogs themselves), please consider making a contribution to the GDUC Wellness Fund. All donations to Guide Dog Users of Canada are tax deductible.
